Kr\u00e1tko na to ho do svojho katal\u00f3gu zaradil aj Charles Messier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">M78 sa nach\u00e1dza v s\u00fahvezd\u00ed Ori\u00f3n (Ori\u00f3n), severne od zn\u00e1mej Ve\u013ekej hmloviny v Ori\u00f3ne (M42). Od Zeme je vzdialen\u00e1 pribli\u017ene 1 600 sveteln\u00fdch rokov.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ide o reflexn\u00fa hmlovinu (reflection nebula) \u2013 oblak prachu a plynu, ktor\u00fd s\u00e1m nevy\u017earuje svetlo, ale odr\u00e1\u017ea a rozpty\u013euje svetlo bl\u00edzkych mlad\u00fdch hviezd, \u010do mu d\u00e1va charakteristick\u00fd modrast\u00fd n\u00e1dych.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">M78 som fotil e\u0161te vo febru\u00e1ri a marci 2025.
